PRISM is the collection of refracted light. Of the strange and entirely scientific instant in which a beam of light, encountering the angled face of a crystal, breaks. It does not shatter. It does not weaken. It splits.
Where PLUME drew the feather, PRISM drew the prism itself, and the shape of a prism is the triangle. Look at any PRISM piece, any one of them, in any rendering, in any vocabulary the maison happens to be speaking that season, and you will find, beneath every variation, the same single elemental form: the triangle.
PRISM is built around a phenomenon, not a metaphor. The phenomenon is refraction. There is a precise moment, entirely physical, entirely measurable, entirely real, that occurs whenever a beam of white light encounters the angled face of a crystal. The light, which has travelled until that moment as a single continuous beam, enters the glass.
